Lookout Mobile Security, a smartphone security software company, has closed a $40 million funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
Jeff Jordan from Andreessen Horowitz will join Lookout’s board of directors. Also participating were prior investors Khosla Ventures, Accel Partners and Index Ventures.
Lookout had previously raised $36 million, including a $19.5 million third round in December. It was founded in 2007 in Los Angeles and moved to San Francisco in 2010. Co-founder John Hering is CEO.
